What do you think about Wayne Rooney as player and as a normal person?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Wayne Rooney

I want to know, what you think about his behaviour during the World-Cup Match against Portugal - specially the unfair attack against Christiano Ronaldo! (Some papers wrote, that Rooney will smash Ronaldo into pieces, if he returns to England…) I think it is a shame for English and World-Football… England needs someone like Alan Shearer again!

He's a good player, very poor sportsmanship, and should be kicked and stepped in the nuts just the same!

Wayne Rooney as a player, could be better and has a lot of potential, and his "unfair attack" was nothing, if you watch football you should have seen him a year or two ago.

    A normal person, he's a good guy.

ALAN SHEARER , MY GOD…..a good club player but was utter pants for England many fans were pleased to see him retire from international football and he has the personality of a toenail clipping. Rooney has passion for the game and works harder than anyone on the pitch ,in a few years i'm sure he will be classed as on of the all time greats (ugly little spud tho) nope wouldn't change anything about Rooney . and would like to see him go a couple of rounds with that Fa g g ot Ronaldo

I didn't think he was a good player. He was overrated. He can be fast and bothersome; but that is not enough. His foul was shameful. It made me feel ashamed to be English. And if he wants to smash up players, he's in the wrong sport. He ought to try boxing. He might be a normal English footballer by today's standards. That is even more depressing. European football is coming to an end anyway; much too dirty and players are rarely clever enough and are overpaid. Send him to North Korea for a while; they'd love him.

I think he`s a good player and during the world cup he lifted the spirits of everyone on that field. Ronaldo was a wanker to him in that match and i hope he does smash him to pieces because he wanted Rooney off the pitch out of fear cause he knows he`s a better player than he is.

Rooney was frustrated by the stupid tactic, devised by the over-sexed Swede, of leaving him up front on his own. He was also off form coming back from injury, but he is an excellent striker with real talent.

A lot of what has been said by the tabloids should be taken with a pinch of salt as they lie like cheap watches. Rooney is a professional and won't risk his job by acting out revenge on a team-mate.

I don't think as a person he is greatly different from a lot of people who, because of their talent, are thrown into the public gaze and made to feel important. In fact I think he does a good job of keeping his feet on the ground and not forgetting where he came from.

A great talent and just a normal young boy. He was provoked into that outburst against Portugal but he will learn. As for all the crap in the papers did you read any of them actually quote Rooney. It is just another sensational guess by the tabloids.

He is a product of modern football where young players are assigned to clubs before they have even a basic education, the end product is young men with no idea how the other half lives. All you can hope for the likes of Rooney is that his wealth lasts him a lifetime because he like many others is ill equipped to earn a proper living.

Good person, very down-to-earth and actually cares about his profession and the fans unlike some other top professional footballers. He does need to contol his temper a bit more though he seems to be doing that at club level. As a player he's world-class but still young and has a long way to go before becoming as good as someone like Zidane.

He is clearly a great footballer, although this will only be verified at the end of his career.

However, as a person he doesn't come across so well, but who are we to say. We only know what the papers tell us.

He is a good enough for the moment player. When he finally grows up, I think he has the potential to become a great player. He will never be Owen though. As a person, he is a very inmature guy, but hey he is still a teenager right? He can grow out of that, and football will be a better sport because of that. I agree we need Shearer back. We have Gerrard and Terry and Lampard and Cole. England will be OK
